Situated in a waterside 19th-century cotton mill, Nääs Fabriker is one of Sweden’s most unique destinations. The complex combines a boutique hotel with 81 rooms, a spa, restaurant, café, shops, co-working spaces, and conference facilities. Known for its creative packaging of experiences, from spa weekends to offers and gift cards, Nääs Fabriker has built a strong reputation for unique experiences combined with guest-centric service.
For many years, Nääs Fabriker ran on another property management system, but limitations in it started to hold them back. “As we work a lot with packages, we wanted a system that follows the entire guest journey smoothly, and a built-in restaurant booking module was important for us. Development on our previous system has stopped, and that made us look for something new,” says Maria Botéus, Hotel Manager at Nääs Fabriker.

Several systems were evaluated, but VisBook proved to be the best fit. “We received a good proposal from VisBook’s sales consultant, and the overall picture felt right”, Maria notes, “plus we had recommendations from other colleagues in the industry who had already switched and were satisfied.”
A decisive factor was also the closer integration with BookVisit, which Nääs Fabriker has relied on for years, with Maria explaining that the “integration between VisBook and BookVisit was very important in our decision. We are very happy with BookVisit, and since both systems are under Visit, we see a lot of potential for synergies and future development.”

And although Nääs Fabriker has not yet gone live with VisBook, the onboarding has already made a strong impression. “It’s been very good. Our onboarder Kristin feels very professional, calm, and confident, and she guides us in the right way. It’s also reassuring that many hotels before us have already made the same journey,” says Maria.
The team are therefore eager to put VisBook into daily use. “We look forward to having a smooth system where everyone in the house can easily see what the guest has booked” Maria explains, “it will also reduce the amount of manual work we currently do across different systems, saving us time that we can spend with guests instead.”

Nääs Fabriker already has a proven track record of success with BookVisit, having increased direct bookings significantly thanks to its strong packaging functions. By combining this with VisBook, the hotel expects both efficiency gains and further commercial benefits. “We believe the switch will give us a mix of improvements: saving time in the systems, boosting efficiency and revenue per guest, and allowing us to focus and spend more time on our guests” Maria concludes.
