Small Danish Hotels and VisBook enter strategic partnership

The Danish hotel chain Small Danish Hotels has entered into a strategic framework agreement with the hospitality-tech company VisBook, which is part of Visit Group. This agreement means that VisBook’s Property Management System (PMS) will be made available to the chain’s more than 75 hotels.

Small Danish Hotels is Denmark’s largest chain of privately-owned accommodation establishments. The chain consists of over 75 unique and independent hotels with a total of more than 5,200 rooms. They have now chosen VisBook as one of their preferred suppliers of PMS solutions. This gives members the opportunity to implement VisBook’s platform in their hotels.

– We aim to be Denmark’s preferred hotel chain for independent hotels. To achieve this, we need to offer the market’s best solutions that add value for our members. Several of our members have spoken very highly of VisBook, so we are now expanding the collaboration and making the platform available to our members, says Finn Kræfting, CEO at Small Danish Hotels.

VisBook offers an all-in-one platform that integrates all parts of the business. Through the platform, all parts of the hotel are connected, such as booking, housekeeping, spa, restaurant, and accounting, into a simple and scalable system. Through their partnership with Small Danish Hotels, they have secured their first key agreement in the Danish market.

– We are very proud to have secured our first major framework agreement in Denmark. The Danish market has more independent hotels and, to a greater extent, smaller hotel chains than the Norwegian market. We are pleased that Small Danish Hotels believes our solutions can help them compete with the larger players in the market, says Harald Lundemo, CEO at VisBook.

VisBook now has approximately 1,250 Nordic hotels in its growing customer portfolio. Denmark is an important growth market for Visit Group, which already collaborates closely with the leading ferry operator DFDS and several destination hotels in the country.

– Our focus is to ensure that our customers can spend as much time as possible taking care of their guests. Operational efficiency, sales, packaging, and distribution are the areas we will continue to excel in. We believe that the Danish market will become one of our most important growth areas, with the partnership with Small Danish Hotels marking an important milestone, says Lundemo.

He adds:

– We Norwegians often say that it’s wonderful to be Norwegian in Denmark. Hopefully, that will be the case for VisBook as well.
