With 95 double rooms and modern conference facilities, Ombergs can cater to both individual travelers and large corporate groups. However, as the resort grew, so did the need for a more efficient and modern booking system.

Finding the Right Booking Solution with VisBook

Before switching to VisBook, Ombergs Golf Resort struggled with outdated and inefficient systems. Bookings were managed manually, and the resort had separate systems for reception and restaurant operations, creating unnecessary complexity.

“Our old system was slow and limited. It made our work harder than it needed to be,” Adam explains. They needed a faster, more flexible, and user-friendly solution—one that could integrate all aspects of their business. “With VisBook, everything runs much smoother. One of the biggest operational improvements has been the integration of reception and restaurant management. Previously, separate systems led to miscommunication and inefficiencies between departments. “Now that everything is in VisBook, we don’t have to switch between different platforms. It’s made our work much easier and more coordinated,” Adam adds.

Enhancing Guest Bookings with BookVisit

While VisBook improved internal operations, Ombergs also needed a way to simplify guest reservations. Before implementing BookVisit, all bookings were handled manually via email and phone, which was time-consuming.

“Before BookVisit, we had an overwhelming number of emails and calls. Many of these could have been easily managed by the guests themselves via an online booking platform. We wanted to simplify things for both our guests and ourselves, and BookVisit was the obvious choice to streamline the booking process and create a better experience for everyone.”

Since implementing BookVisit, Ombergs has seen a clear increase in online bookings. More guests now prefer to book online rather than calling or emailing, making the process faster and reducing the workload for the booking team.

Beyond simplifying the reservation process, BookVisit has also significantly improved upselling opportunities. Guests can now explore add-ons and upgrades at their own pace, something that was previously harder to communicate over the phone.

Not only this but according to Adam, the synchronisation between VisBook and BookVisit means that they “have as little manual work as possible, since bookings, payments, refunds, and cancellations, amongst other things, are automatically synchronized.”

Ombergs Golf Resort is always looking for ways to enhance guest convenience and operational efficiency. With VisBook and BookVisit already transforming their booking process, they are now exploring new innovations such as digital keys and advanced guest communication tools to further streamline the guest experience.

“We’re constantly looking at new solutions that can make things smoother for both guests and staff. Digital keys are something we’re considering for the future to make check-ins even more seamless.”
